This creates a very confusing situation, should you add them to the fireplace or throw them back into the wild. Rotten firewood can be burnt but is not the ideal choice as it can either contain moisture or not have enough healthy wood inside it to act as fuel. Rotten firewood won\u2019t be able to generate high amounts of heat and will not be able to burn for long. Extremely rotten wood can also end up ruining your existing fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
