It has given several varieties such as &#8216;<em><strong>Lennei<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;, pink inside and purple outside, &#8216;<em><strong>Alba Superba<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;, pure white, or &#8216;<em><strong>Burgundy<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;, deep pink.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M. x <a href=\"https:\/\/plants.ces.ncsu.edu\/plants\/magnolia-liliiflora\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lilliflora<\/a> &#8216;<em><strong>Nigra<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;, formerly called M. x soulangeana &#8216;<em><strong>Nigra<\/strong><\/em>&#8216;, has a more compact habit. Its flowers are pink on the inside and dark red on the outside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M. x &#8216;<em><strong>Heaven Scent<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; is distinguished by its light pink flowers flamed with dark pink at the base of the petals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M. x &#8216;<em><strong>Susan<\/strong><\/em>&#8216; is a large shrub of 2 to 4 m, with a bushy and compact habit.
